You'll be one of our first dedicated sellers — talking to the small and mid-size warehouse operators and distributors who are drowning in spreadsheets or paying too much for software that doesn't fit how they actually work. The product is genuinely useful and free to start, which means you're not arm-twisting anyone; you're helping people find a better way. Buyers are typically the owner or operations director, deals close in 2–6 weeks, and you'll have a clear quarterly ARR number to hit. As one of our first hires in sales, you'll also help build the playbook — what you learn in the field becomes the process the next person runs.
What you'll do
Run 5–8 discovery calls per week and qualify hard — a bad-fit customer costs us more in CS and churn than a lost deal
Demo the live product against the prospect's actual workflow — no slides, no hypotheticals — and connect each feature to their specific problem
Own the deal in HubSpot from first touch to closed-won, with accurate stage, next step, and close date at all times
Work through migration objections — most prospects are on Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or spreadsheets; you understand their situation well enough to make the switch feel low-risk
Hit your quarterly ARR number; know your pipeline coverage, what's at risk this week, and what has to happen to close the gap
Feed market intelligence back weekly: the objections you're hearing, competitors that come up, features prospects ask for that we don't have
Document what works as you go — your learnings become the sales playbook the next AE inherits
What we're looking for
2+ years closing B2B SaaS deals, ideally to SMBs or operations buyers — you know what a 60-day sales cycle feels like and how to manage it
Can explain technical software simply and credibly to a non-technical buyer without condescension
Self-directed — you can build pipeline, manage a full cycle, and stay organized without a large support team around you
Know your numbers: you can walk through pipeline coverage, stage conversion, and close date accuracy without preparation
Nice to have
Experience selling inventory, ERP, or operations software to warehouse operators or distributors
Familiarity with Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or similar platforms — you understand the buyer's current setup and what switching costs them
A track record as an early sales hire at a company that was still building its process when you joined
