Full-Stack Software Engineer

Engineering Contract Remote

About the role

We're a small, senior engineering team shipping a real product to real warehouses — typically multiple times per week. You'll own features end-to-end: you write the EF Core migration, build the service layer, wire the REST endpoint, and ship the Blazor component. No layers of process between you and the customer; your code is in production days after you write it. The stack is C#, ASP.NET Blazor, EF Core, and SQLite, running on Linux. If you care about writing code that actually works — and enjoy seeing it matter to a business that depends on it — this is the job.

What you'll do

  • Design and ship features across the full stack — EF Core migrations, C# service layer, REST endpoints, and Blazor UI — you own all of it for the features you build
  • Write database migrations for every feature you ship; own the schema for your area and think about query performance before someone asks you to
  • Build Blazor components that hold up on mobile, handle slow connections gracefully, and stay fast at 10,000-SKU catalog scale
  • Write tests that cover negative cases and edge cases — not just the happy path — before marking a PR ready
  • Instrument your code before shipping: structured logs, Slack alerts on error spikes, and performance counters where they matter
  • Debug production incidents yourself: read logs, form a hypothesis, fix forward or roll back, and write a brief postmortem so it doesn't happen twice
  • Participate in weekly code review — leave comments that make the PR better, not just approved
  • Help shape architecture as we scale to more customers and larger catalogs; you have opinions and express them with reasoning

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years building production web applications that real, paying customers depend on — side projects don't count the same way
  • Strong C# / .NET and SQL: you can own a feature from schema to UI without asking for help at each layer
  • You notice an N+1 and know how to fix it; you know when to add an index and when not to; you've debugged something by reading a query plan
  • Care about correctness: you reach for tests, think about failure modes before they happen, and don't ship something you haven't tested end-to-end yourself
  • Able to communicate clearly in a remote, async-first team — you write good PR descriptions and give useful code review feedback

Nice to have

  • Experience with Blazor, MudBlazor, or another component-driven UI framework
  • Background in inventory, ERP, accounting, or logistics software — you know what a pick-and-pack flow is
  • Comfort with SQLite / EF Core and multi-tenant data design
