Implementation Specialist

Customer Success Contract Remote

About the role

Switching inventory systems is the scariest thing a warehouse operator will do all year — their stock counts have to be right or they can't fulfill orders. You're the person who makes that switch painless and fast. You'll take a customer from signed-up to fully operational: handling the data import from Zoho Books, QuickBooks CSV, or spreadsheets; configuring warehouses, catalogs, and storefronts; training the team; and being their trusted first point of contact during the critical first weeks. You'll typically run 8–12 concurrent onboardings at different stages and be expected to get customers live within 3–4 weeks of kickoff.

What you'll do

  • Onboard new customers: import catalogs, contacts, and opening stock from Zoho Books, QuickBooks CSV, Google Sheets, and other formats — handle encoding issues, duplicate SKUs, and blank required fields without going back to the customer ten times
  • Set and hold a go-live date: create a project plan at kickoff with clear milestones, and actually hold customers to the timeline
  • Configure warehouses, price lists, storefronts, and customer portals to match each customer's specific workflow — not a generic setup
  • Run live training sessions and record short walkthroughs for the flows you just configured; reduce support tickets before they open
  • Juggle 8–12 concurrent onboardings at different stages: nothing falls through because you built a tracking system, not because you worked longer
  • Escalate product gaps or configuration requests to engineering with a clear written spec — not a vague message — so they can act on it
  • Spot recurring friction in the onboarding process and surface it to product with enough context to change something

What we're looking for

  • 2+ years in implementation, onboarding, or customer success for a software product, where you personally owned the go-live outcome
  • Comfortable wrangling messy data — CSVs, spreadsheets, field mapping, deduplication, encoding cleanup — you don't need a data engineer to import a customer's catalog
  • Patient, organized, and genuinely good with non-technical customers who are stressed about moving their data
  • Able to manage 8+ concurrent customer projects without dropping details — you have a system, not just good intentions

Nice to have

  • Experience with inventory, ERP, or accounting systems such as Zoho Inventory, QuickBooks, or Fishbowl
  • Light scripting or SQL for data transformation — you can write a quick Python script or SQL query to clean up a CSV before importing
  • Background in distribution, wholesale, manufacturing, or retail operations — you understand what a warehouse actually does
